It was anunforgettable evening of dining, drinking, and dancing the night away for more than 500 guests on May 19 at the Aronoff Center for the Arts when Epicurious Exhibitionism, the daring new citywide chef competition, and Exhibitionism 2, the underground underwear dance party rave to benefit the Cincinnati Arts Association’s Alice F. and Harris K. Weston Art Gallery attracted a capacity crowd of revelers. The evening started at 8 p.m. with the launch of a brand new VIP event, Epicurious Exhibitionism, conceived and coordinated by Adhrucia Apana as a gourmet food and cocktail competition for chefs and mixologists to create outrageous and slightly sinful dishes and drinks in the spirit of the exhibitionism-themed fundraiser. With 11 chef stations scattered across the upper level Weston Art Gallery and Center Stage Room, the sold-out event quickly became aromatic and chaotic! All restaurants and chefs graciously donated their time and materials. Judges Michael Scheurer (visual artist), Donna Covrett (Cincinnati Magazine), and Sheri Einsel (Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Association) chose the following winners and runners-up: |

At 9:30 the party went underground as guests hurried to the Aronoff’s Shelled Space—an off-limits storage area under the theatre and lobby—converted to a fashion runway and club lounge by Joe Rigotti of Accent on Cincinnati. DJ Matt Joy entertained and Framester provided a peep show pink façade all night long for guests who posed for souvenir images. At 10:30 the much-anticipated Knickers and Knickers XY lingerie show models slinked across the dance floor to wild acclaim. Dancing continued until 1 a.m. Exhibitionism was originally created as a fundraising event to support the “exhibition” programming of the Weston Art Gallery, a non-profit visual arts space now in its 17th year. |
